As part of their cadet training and development, examinations are undertaken each year following their study classes.

Subjects undertaken are aeronautically based with some lessons on navigation.

Cadets get the chance to earn upto 6 G.C.S.E.s from these studies and Public Services.

The pass rate on the squadron and steadily climbed with the introduction of a new training programme.

The new cadets undertook their basic recruitment examination which moves them up to the stage of '1st class cadet', meaning they have finished their recruit training.
