Every year, South Weald Park hosts the county Park Show. With many stalls, shows and exhibitions, it attracts families from as far as Australia in to enjoy the fun.

282 Squadron has been called in for the past 4 years to assist with running the event and provide assistance with the main entrance and marshalling hundreds of cars into its car parks.

"It is hard work between 15 of us, to ensure that the flow of cars is smooth and that assistance is at hand for customers" as said by Cadet Sarah Allen.

In previous years, cadets have had to provide assistance to the Air Ambulance service, when one of the actors had an accident during a show. From Jam tasting to holding wild owls, the cadets have fun every year.

The weather couldn't of been better for the cadets. With the warm evenings, they played football in their free time and had a barbeque.

"Are main purpose at this event is to help out the organisers, but its always a fun weekend. Our Squadron is not in Essex, but to receive a call from Essex County Parks every year asking for our help is excellent, there are many other units closer but obviously cannot match our quality of work"
